There are places in this country that seem like holes in reality. Places where driving through it will get you lost no matter how good your GPS is, how well you know the roads, or what color car you're driving. We often label these "in the middle of nowhere" places as BFE.
I've had experiences like this before. Such as the time driving from Orlando to Miami with my brother. Halfway through the trip we left I95 for food and ended up in the middle of a corn field in Kansas. I'm pretty sure the corn was edible, but I prefer my food to be quite dead and cooked.
